Wokingham Town Mayor’s Kaleidoscope Ball at Holiday Inn, Winnersh on Friday 5th May was an undeniably colourful evening.

This was the last of our special events as Wokingham Town Mayor Gwynneth Hewetson’s chosen charity. We were determined, then, that the event should be a great success. And it was – with gorgeous decorations, a fabulous meal, great live band Pink Fish, raffles, quiz, blind auction and photo booth.

Director of Soulscape Jane Turner was delighted to see so many friends and new faces at the event and thanked everyone for generously supporting Soulscape as we actively create space for young people to explore their options, their futures and their well-being. ‘Everybody who came was unbelievably generous,’ said Evanna Kappos and Megan Webb, Soulscape interns. ‘We were thrilled with the response to the raffle and blind auction.’

Wokingham Town Mayor Gwynneth Hewetson, in whose honour the event was held has been an outstanding Mayor; hard-working and dedicated to Wokingham. ‘We are very grateful to Gwynneth for putting her faith in us and championing us this year.’ said Vicky Gibson, Soulscape trustee.

Many hours went into the smooth running of this fabulous event. Sincere thanks to Michelle, Hannah, our interns and the team of volunteers and friends who helped to prepare, set up and run the evening.
