The number of teenagers with mental health problems has doubled in the last 20 years.
We’ve responded with Inside Out, our innovative mental wellbeing project that creates a space in school for students to learn relaxation techniques, talk about the pressures they face, and express their thoughts and feelings through the creative arts.
Inside Out was highly valued by staff and students this year – you can read more about it here.
We think that mental health provision is one of the most important things we can offer the young people in our area. But our Wokingham and Bracknell schools are having to make budget cuts, so although they want us to bring back Inside Out for future years of students, we need to raise the funds to finance it ourselves.
The good news is that you can help. Click here to find out what you can do to bring Inside Out back into our local schools in 2019.
“One student has had a really difficult week with anxiety and today was the first time she went to all her lessons and I saw her smile – what an impact.” – a teacher after Inside Out.
