For more than a quarter of a century, Soulscape has been supporting Young People’s wellbeing in Berkshire schools, creating space for them to reflect, ask big questions, and express themselves creatively. The world has changed a lot during that time, not least of all the state of Young People’s mental health: the number of Young People with a probable mental health condition increasing by more than 600% during that period. There's an opportunity to volunteer with us. If you're planning your gap year, this might just be for you! Here's a shortened version of the ad. 'Join our established team in performing devised theatre and leading workshops in schools and community settings. The team is made up of professional actors, teachers and directors and we deal with issues around mental health, social media, sex and body image. We engage with young people aged between 12-18 and are looking for energy, commitment, adaptability and some performance experience. This would provide ideal work experience and training for those interested in a future in teaching, theatre, youth or social work.
